Dr. Karen Spoor, Ph.D. is a licensed Psychologist, and has a general integrated psychological practice in EL Segundo, and Santa Monica, California. She strives to provide a confidential and supportive setting for her patients to explore the difficult issues that arise during one’s life journey. Her work focuses on relational difficulties and distress, depression, isolation, anxiety, trauma,eating disorders, substance abuse issues, bereavement, grief, and adult survivors of abuse, incest as well as related childhood traumas, and health related issues. Karen enjoys working with a diverse variety of adult individuals from different ethnic, and cultural backgrounds.

Dr. Spoor’s commitment is to support the deepening of self-awareness, choice and self-expression by assisting patients to find the strength and courage to confront their often debilitating life circumstances that prevent the attainment of happiness, peace, and a sense of fulfillment in one's life transitions and journey.

Treatment Modalities:

My focus evolves out of psycho-dynamic / object relational thinking, as well as the use of CBT approaches. In general, my treatment uses an eclectic approach.
